This kit instantly caught my attention because of the bright eye shadows that were included. All of the past Mark Flip Kits that I have seen always had fairly neutral/wearable colors. I also loved that the other side was a face illuminator, rather than lip glosses or lip sticks that I never end up using when in kits like these.
This kit includes 9 eye shadows most of which are glittery. The upper right hand corner purple and the yellow shade are matte, while the orange has more of a sheen to it rather than actually glitter. I found most of the shadows to have a good consistency, with the exception of the white shade that came off fairly powdery.
This product gets its name 'flip kit' because of the unique packaging which allows Mark to place two different products into one palette without having to take up a lot of room.
The reverse side contains what Mark describes as a face illuminator. I wish I had read the description before purchasing this product because when I saw the cream, pink, and brown shades I jumped to the conclusion that this was a highlighter, blush, and bronzer in one convenient location. Now the brown shade is buildable and could be used as a bronzer on fair to light skintones. However, the cream and pink shades give off very little color and although I have fair skin I could not get the middle shade to work as a blush.
Here are the swatches for this flip kit. I did try to swatch the cream and pink shades of the immuminator but they did not show up enough to be photographed.
